Ignite talks are five minutes in length. Each speaker prepares a showshow that automatically advances every 15 seconds. Talks can be on a number of topics, and are often lighter in tone than events like TEDx and Pecha Kucha.
Mark produced the first Ignite event in Birmingham, in conjunction with the Glee Club and with sponsorship from Substrakt. Presented by Caroline Beavon, Birmingham's first Ignite event was well-attended and warmly received, with talks on photography, sperm donation and rugby.
